Added Benefits with Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy oils are concentrated plant oils also called essential oils. These oils come in numerous varieties and specific proprietary blends can be combined to have different effects on the body. Various conditions can benefit from the use of aromatherapy oil by both inhalation and absorption through the skin. The greatest advantage to aromatherapy is that it's a natural approach as compared to other topicals. They can positively affect your mood, alleviate pain, detoxify your body, and ramp up your immune system, depending on the oil used. The most common individual oils used in massage are: Lavender for relaxation, Arnica for healing, Peppermint for a pick me up, and eucalyptus for decongestion. There are so many more combinations and uses such as anxiety, depression, insomnia, cramps, and menopause to name a few. Some oils may cause allergic reactions so it is important to communicate any known sensitivities. Otherwise, oils are diluted enough with a carrier oil so that they do not irritate the skin. All in all they can be a great addition to any massage for a nominal fee.
